Careers in case management
The Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) is specifically designed for those who wish to work, or who are working in the following types of organisations:
- Family support services
- Aged care services
- Government agencies
- Sexual health and family planning services
- Community health centres
- Outreach services
- Disability and mental health support services
- Correctional services
- Employment services
- Residential services, including drug rehabilitation services and refugee support services
- Youth centres, or
- Women's health centres
Case management is a core role for these organisations, where each client is managed by a single point of contact. The skills developed in this diploma can also be applied to a wide range of other service organisations.
As a case manager, you are an advocate for your client. You may work with external consultants and administrators to co-ordinate the best services for your client's individual needs.
