Careers in case management

The Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) is specifically designed for those who wish to work, or who are working in the following types of organisations:

  • Family support services
  • Aged care services
  • Government agencies
  • Sexual health and family planning services
  • Community health centres
  • Outreach services
  • Disability and mental health support services
  • Correctional services
  • Employment services
  • Residential services, including drug rehabilitation services and refugee support services
  • Youth centres, or
  • Women's health centres

Case management is a core role for these organisations, where each client is managed by a single point of contact. The skills developed in this diploma can also be applied to a wide range of other service organisations.

As a case manager, you are an advocate for your client. You may work with external consultants and administrators to co-ordinate the best services for your client's individual needs.
