Fieldwork placement:
Youth Empowered Towards Independance (YETI)
Interaction with young people aged between 12 and 25 who were disadvantaged or homeless. Operated the needle exchange program and engaged in group work. YETI facilitates a 'safe space' for young people and also provides counselling and referrals to other organisations.

Experience at ACAP:
My experience at ACAP was great! I found the educators very accessible and helpful. I enjoyed the study and the on-campus intensives were a good way to 'cement' my learning!
 
How have you used your ACAP qualification?
I worked for Lifeline in their professional counselling services unit for 3 years and am currently employed by TAFE QLD as a Student Counsellor.
