Organisational Counselling

This unit provides knowledge and skills specifically for those working in human resources. Through this unit, students will gain an understanding of the issues and skills required for counselling within the human resource department or section of an organisation, as well as acquire those skills for general Organisational Counselling in the workplace. In particular, students will focus on counselling skills for performance appraisal, OHS issues, EEO issues, career planning and outplacement.

Unit Duration and Workload

This unit involves a total of 36 hours of face to face delivery of self directed study including educator contact in flexible delivery modes, generating a further 54 hours of self-study per unit including research and related study activities, including assessment. This translates to 7.5 hours per week for the unit.
