The Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling) is ideal if you are interested in studying counselling at ACAP and working as a counsellor in a variety of areas of specialisation or in a counselling related profession. Completing this course will provide you with practical counselling skills and a firm understanding of the social and environmental contexts that impact on individuals in today’s society.

- Counsellor Development Workshops
Counsellor Development Workshops (CDWs) are a requirement if you are in the counselling specialisation, have studied through Flexible Delivery, and not completed a minimum of 3 of the following modules on campus:
- Counselling Skills 1
- Counselling Skills 2
- Social, Legal & Ethical Issues
- Counselling in Loss
- Family & Relationship Counselling
Counsellor Development Workshops (CDWs) provide a highly dynamic and interactive opportunity to apply skills and knowledge. They consist of three individual one week workshops which include intensive exercises and activities designed to consolidate the integration of theory and practice.
