Graduate Outcomes

Delivering higher education or vocational outcomes, career transition opportunities and employment success for graduates are all key factors that are considered when the College structures its programs.

The College focuses on developing both skills and knowledge, utilising students' existing experiences and providing the opportunity to apply them in fieldwork placements. This approach ensures that graduates are competent, confident and work ready.

Feedback from employers reveals that College graduates are highly regarded and able to meet genuine skill requirements of organisations.

Cultivating employment opportunities

The College is committed to providing graduates with the best opportunities for employment. This is demonstrated through the following College activities:

• Regular consultation with business, government and community sectors within which graduates work, to ensure courses remain relevant and employment opportunities are cultivated.
• Ongoing development of relationships with fieldwork organisations. Consistently almost half of ACAP graduates are offered positions as a direct result of their fieldwork placement.
• Engaging with professional and industry associations to ensure graduates can gain professional recognition of their qualifications and training.
• Development of a Talent Bank - a career development and placement initiative led by ACAP to assist the placement of students in the People Management and Leadership area (read more below).
• Provision of ongoing supervision and professional development for graduates in private practice.
