Drawing on the College's expertise and unique capability in applied psychology, ACAP's PML courses offer a fresh and exciting approach to Human Resources Management. Rather than concentrating on traditional personnel and administration training, the courses explore the psychological dimensions of management and leadership. In times of great uncertainty, rapid organisational change and increasing workforce mobility, these courses address the diversity of organisational types and styles, the range of employment relationships and the changing role of human resource professionals. ACAP's PML courses are equally valuable for experienced professionals who are seeking continuing professional development, wish to gain a formal qualification, are changing careers, or are embarking on a consulting career in HRM. Sport and Performance SpecialisationPerformance improvement, be it at an individual, team or organisational level is central to every people manager's role. Drawing on the theory and methods of sports psychology, the Sport and Performance specialisation emphasises the integration of the mental and emotional skills needed to elicit peak performance. Particular attention is paid to stress and performance, self-esteem and motivation, and health psychology. The modules provide invaluable insights into the cognitive processes underpinning individual performance and can be applied to a wide range of settings, from the family to the corporation. How to ApplyIt is strongly recommended that you apply well in advance of the term in which you plan to commence studying. Enrolment must be completed two weeks prior to the start of each term.
