Gender and Sexuality

This module introduces students to current gender theory and provides various opportunities to develop a conceptual framework to understand and appreciate gender issues in a variety of contexts.

Students learn about the diversity and complexity of gender-related concepts and the importance of terminology in relationship to gender; contemporary sociological perspective on gender; Equal Employment Opportunities and Affirmative Action Policies in the workplace are studied and gender specific issues related to sexual discrimination and harassment.
