Information Evenings and Open DaysACAP has Information Evenings and Open Days, which gives you the opportunity to find out more about the College and a taste of who we are. Each campus has Information Evenings and/or Opens Days. Both events consist of a presentation that covers: the learning experience, benefits of studying at ACAP and professional and personal outcomes you can gain through studying our courses. Open Days are an extension of our Infomation Evenings, which can give you a further understanding of how the college works, by conducting mini classes and presented by our educators. These events will also give you the opportunity to talk to College staff and students and ask them any questions you may have. I left school at 15 before completing the School Certificate. I married at 17 and started a family at 19. The only training I had done before ACAP, was a TAFE Certificate in accounting to assist in the family business. I was very nervous about studying but the support I received was terrific. Being able to build upon modules into a Certificate IV through to the Bachelors is a terrific advantage. I can set goals and achieve them. My plan is to have a counselling practice for children and families specialising in the area of grief and trauma. I have personal experience in this area and hope to be able to bring benefit to others.
