Manage Workforce Planning
This module discusses workforce planning – ensuring that an organisation has the people with the skills, knowledge and abilities needed to meet the organisation's goals and objectives, both in the present and to meet anticipated changes in the future. It describes how to analyse the demand for labour within an organisation and the sources of supply of labour both within and outside of the organisation. It then discusses how to use these analyses to produce forecasts which form the basis for designing workforce strategies to deal with demand and supply issues, including labour surpluses, labour shortages and employee retention strategies. This module also discusses the relationship between workforce planning and diversity, and ways of monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of workforce planning.
