Study the Diploma of Counselling at ACAP and you will learn key counselling and communication skills, along with ways of supporting people through difficult situations.
The Diploma is a practical program that can help you find a new career in community organisations and government support services. And if you decide to take your study further, you'll have advanced standing (equivalent to 8 modules) when you apply for entry to ACAP's Bachelor of Applied Social Science.

The Diploma of Counselling workshops
The Diploma of Counselling workshops are co-requisites for specific modules. This means that if you are studying the following modules by flexible delivery:
- Facilitate the Counselling Process or Counselling Interview Skills
- Monitor Case Management
- Improve Counselling Skills
You must attend the workshop during the term in which you are enrolled in the relevant module.
These workshops provide face to face training in practical skills, and involve assessment of skills required for competency.
