Tuition Assurance

In case of provider defaults overseas students are covered by OSTAS (Overseas Student Tuition Assurance Scheme) as part of the ESOS (Education Service for Overseas Students) Assurance Fund  established under section 45 of the ESOS Act 2000 to protect the interests of current and intending overseas students of registered providers. It does this by ensuring students are given a suitable alternative course, or have their course money refunded, if the provider cannot provide the course for which the student has paid. Price Water House Coopers is the current Fund Manager. For further information on the role of the Fund Manager and contributions payable to the Fund, go to http://esosassurancefund.com.au/ .

For local students the college is a member of ASTAS (Australian Student Tuition Assurance Scheme.

The Scheme ensures that domestic students displaced from any course conducted by an ACPET member participating in ASTAS, due to the member's inability to continue the course, will be efficiently relocated with minimal disruption to studies in a comparable course with another ACPET member participating in ASTAS or other approved provider.

The Scheme covers a student if s/he is a citizen or permanent resident of Australia and enrolled as a full or part-time student in approved programs leading to an accredited award and has paid tuition fees in advance for a period of ten weeks or more and is not a student as defined in the ESOS Act 2000.

Refer to our Statement of Tuition Assurance for more information.

Non-Commencement of Courses

In the event that a scheduled course does not start on an agreed date and no alternative arrangements has been made to run the course at a later date in that term, students shall be refunded in full any monies that they have paid for the particular course.

Refund/Withdrawal Forms

I initially chose to study at ACAP for a number of reasons; the degree of flexibility, the highly experienced trainers and the focus on experiential learning. Now that I have actually commenced my studies, I am finding that ACAP is most definitely meeting all of my expectations. I have taken advantage of both the on-campus and distance education options for study. All of the trainers I have had have been very knowledgeable and supportive, and the classes are highly interactive.
