How To Apply

New Students

The application process below relates to new students.

If you are a current / existing student please re-enrol here.

Step 1:

  • Download Domestic Student Guide (PDF)
  • Ensure you have read the Domestic Student Guide and/or taken a careful look at the ACAP website
  • Contact us on 1800 061 199 if you would like a printed version of the Domestic Student Guide, or if you would like to discuss which course best meets your personal and professional goals.

Step 3:

When submitting you Application and Enrolment form attach the following:

  • Certified copies of all academic qualifications (including school results)
  • English language test results (if applicable)
  • Employment documents (if applicable)
  • A 150 word statement describing how your interest in an ACAP course relates to your career aspirations.

Please ensure that your current name is added to any documents obtained under a former name and that certified translations accompany documents that are not in English.

Copies can be certified by:

  • A Justice of the Peace
  • An authorised ACAP representative or,
  • An Australian Diplomatic Mission, Police Officer or Lawyer/Solicitor

Step 4:

Send your Application and enrolment form either via mail, fax or online and include all attachments.

Step 5:

If your application is successful, you will receive an Acceptance Letter from ACAP within approximately 10 working days, explaining the course you have been offered, the fees payable and the commencement date.

International students wishing to study in Australia will also receive an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) or Letter of Offer.


ADVANCED STANDING

Students wishing to apply for  Advanced  Standing via Credit  Transfer or  Recognition of  Prior  Learning (RPL), must read the following policy and procedure and submit a portfolio of evidence for each module. Students must not enrol in a module for which they are submitting an advanced standing application. Applications can be made at anytime throughout the course of study.

Definitions:

  • Credit transfer applies to students seeking Advanced Standing into a course of study based on previous formal learning.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning refers to Advanced Standing sought on the basis of an individuals' non-formal and informal learning and the extent to which has achieved the required learning outcomes for a particular module of study. (e.g. relevant workplace experience, courses completed as part of professional development).  Due to the theoretical nature of Higher Education, Advanced Standing on this basis is only granted rarely.
