Description of your fieldwork placement(s): The work at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Coperation for Women gave me deep inside into the Indigenous Culture, the cultural tradition and heritage and current problems . Working with Children of Prisoners opened my eyes to the social justice system and the effect that imprisonment has on the family in particular of the child. Working in the HR section of the Bewag gave me an insight of how psychology is used in the corporate world and helped me with my decision to work in the social or health area.

Describe your ACAP experience:
ACAP was the best thing that could have happened to me after finishing school in Germany. I was very impressed by the personal and professional way the modules were delivered. The practical hands on experience motivated me to read the theoretical background.

How has ACAP benefited you personally or professionally?
Personally ACAP benefited me by developing my interpersonal skills, whch had an effect on friendships and relationships. Professionally I gained a lot of self-esteem and knowledge through ACAP and found work straight away.

How have you used your ACAP qualification?
Back in Germany I used my degree to find a part time job and to short cut my psychology course at uni. I also started a four year dance psychotherapy course and am now workin as a dance psychotherapist in a clinic for mental disorders.
