Experience at ACAP:
Courses were taught in a well-prepared manner and in a conducive environment. I had the flexibility to take one module at a time due to the nature of my work hence the delivery modes were ideal for me. The educators that I worked with were experienced and knowledgeable in their fields of expertise and were always open to discussing important and controversial issues. Although classes were kept to a minimum size, there was still lively participation.

How has study at ACAP benefitted you personally and professionally?
How has study at ACAP benefitted you personally and professionally? Most of the modules were covered in-depth with respect to the specialised areas and I was able to apply the knowledge I gained during my attachment as well as the volunteer services that I engaged in from time to time.

These modules enhanced my interpersonal skills. Professionally, I have developed a much stronger self-esteem that has exponentially expanded my knowledge; both of which I currently apply in my daily profession, mainly organising events, meetings and dealing with clients.

My degree as well as the Graduate Diploma has helped a lot in the counselling areas that I constantly deal with which has therefore enhanced my skills as an education coordinator. It developed me professionally in various counselling and training aspects. It has also served me well whenever I conducted training in the prisons and half-way houses. I am able to use the skills like listening, problem-solving issues and finding solutions with ease when interacting with teaching staff and students.
