Study in Australia

Support

The College's Student Support Services provide a wide variety of services to students for their personal and professional development while studying at the College. In particular, we assist international students by providing personal support in the form of:

  • one-to-one counselling and debriefing
  • orientation support
  • career guidance and advice.

English proficiency

It is important that students have a solid grasp of both written and spoken English, as the College's approach to learning is highly interactive and experiential.

Applicants whose secondary and/or tertiary education was undertaken in a language other than English will need to provide the results of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination. The minimum English language proficiency requirement for entry to the College is an IELTS overall band score of 6.0.

Student visas

When the College accepts an international student, it provides an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) or a 'Letter of Offer', which is required for student visa applications. It is the student's responsibility to obtain his or her student visa from the Federal Department of Immigration in Australia or from an Australian Mission in the student's home country.

Personal details

It is important that all international students contact Administration when they first arrive at the College. Administration must hold all current contact details, as well as copies of all your study visa documentation.

Homestay

Homestay is one of the easiest and most secure ways to become part of Australian life. Living with a family gives students the opportunity to observe Australian culture first hand while enjoying the benefits of instant friends and home life.

After attending university in Germany I came to ACAP. It was so refreshing. Hands on experience, great trainers and people from all over the world! In one class we counted eight different cultures! Learning in small groups was encouraging and supportive. As an international student ACAP enables you to study and still have time to get to know this great country.
