A UNICEF Corporate Champion for Children

The Australian College of Applied Psychology remains committed to assisting in building a positive community. Apart from training students and industry professionals who can make positive contribution to society, ACAP has made donations to organisations such as Lifeline and has now become a UNICEF Corporate Champion for Children.

As a UNICEF Corporate Champion for Children, ACAP is contributing to UNICEF's development programs in over 150 countries and territories. Whole communities benefit from Corporate Champions' support through the establishment of schools, clean water supplies and through the protection, survival, health and well-being of children.

I chose ACAP as I was impressed with the practical nature of the mode of teaching and assignments. In particular, I liked the idea of role-plays and self-critiques. Such opportunities provided aspiring counsellors a hands-on experience during the course itself, thereby preparing one greatly for actual working life.
