The School of People Management and Leadership (PML) offers students innovative foundation courses in all functional areas of managing, motivating and leading people. Drawing on the College's expertise and unique capability in applied psychology, ACAP's PML courses offer a fresh and exciting approach to Human Resources Management. Rather than concentrating on traditional personnel and administration training, the courses explore the psychological dimensions of management and leadership.

In times of great uncertainty, rapid organisational change and increasing workforce mobility, these courses address the diversity of organisational types and styles, the range of employment relationships and the changing role of human resource professionals.

ACAP's PML courses are equally valuable for experienced professionals who are seeking continuing professional development, wish to gain a formal qualification, are changing careers, or are embarking on a consulting career in HRM.

After completing my PhD, I started teaching and gradually drifted into the psychology and counselling fields, where I've now had over 20 years of experience. ACAP has given me the opportunity to study the theory of what I'm practising, and that too from thousands of kilometres away. This is giving me an enriching perspective and context to my work and life. I find ACAP's faculty and staff very professional, responsive and always encouraging.
