QLD Program Features

The Psychologist Registration Supervision Program is conducted by the Australian College of Applied Psychology to meet the requirements of the Queensland Psychologists Registration Board for full registration in Queensland.

To gain registration as a Psychologist, the Queensland Psychologist Registration Board requires applicants to have a four-year degree in Psychology.  Graduates are then required to complete 1600 hours workplace experience (paid or voluntary), and 160 hours of supervision and professional development during the two-year program.

I chose ACAP's Program as it not only met all requirements for registration but also had the practical orientation that was invaluable.

After Registration my local GP asked if I would be interested in counselling at his practice. I accepted and teamed up with another psychologist. Two years later we have moved from the GP's practice to our own premises. We have formed great relationships in our community with doctors, schools, community centres and others.
