VIC Program Features

In order to gain registration as a Psychologist, the Psychologist Registration Board of Victoria requires a four year degree in Psychology. Graduates are then required to complete 480 days (3600 hours) workplace experience in Victoria (paid or voluntary), and 100 hours of supervision and professional development.

The Supervision Program is a combination of

  • Individual Supervision - 75 supervision hours
  • Group Supervision - 25 supervision hours
  • Training / Workshops Seminars - 120 supervision hours
  • Workplace Experience- 5 days per week over 2 years or 2.5 days per week over 4 years (equivalent to 480 days or 3600 hours).

Entry Requirements

To gain entry into the Program, applicants must have an approved four year qualification in Psychology. Applicants will be interviewed to assess their suitability for the Program.

Individual Supervision

Each intern will have an opportunity to select a supervisor that best meets his/her needs from our pool of highly trained, registered psychologists. All our supervisors have many years experience in the field of psychology and specific experience in supervision.

Psychometric Testing

Each intern will have the opportunity to develop skills in Psychometric Testing.

Through a choice of workshops, you will receive training in a selection of the following:

    IQ WISC III and WAIS III
    Personality 16 PF
    Specific Functioning ACER Applied Reading Test
    Wechsler Memory Scale
    Group Ravens Progressive Matrice


Small groups of five interns meet with a skilled supervisor for three, 2-hour group supervision sessions.

There will also be opportunities to access the College's test library and resource material. A secondary supervisor can be provided for additional one-on-one supervision in Psychometric Testing.

A 20 hour Psychological Testing module is also available for in-depth supervision and additional training in psychometric tests.
