Ian Brown BA, PGCE, Dip Psych, ANZAP, CAPA is a Registered Psychotherapist and Clinical Member of CAPA and an experienced Educator at ACAP.
The things he most like about ACAP is that learning takes place in small classes with group discussions with a high level of interactivity between Students and educators. According to Ian, "No one size fits all". He draws from a wealth of experience in Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness and Solution Focussed therapies.
Ian has many years experience both in Australia and in the UK. His approach to teaching is "hands on". The dedication of educators combined with a curriculum that is so experiential gave me confidence to establish a private practice drawing on my previous professional and personal experience. My work is split between two passions, providing grief counselling to men who have partners with cancer and corporate coaching to middle managers, as individuals and in groups, to assist them become more effective people managers.
