The Bachelor of Applied Social Science responds to industry demands for graduates who can work effectively with people, possess a well-rounded education, who understand and can use practical and theoretical social science, and who can think critically and analytically.

Students will gain undertake a combination of Management and Counselling modules which will address professional development needs. Practicums complement the specialisation and provide real workplace experience.

Graduates will be reflective practitioners, well suited for employment in an extensive range of private and public sector industries. Most importantly, they will understand the social and environmental contexts of the people with whom they work and the organisations they work within. Graduates will be capable of functioning effectively as managers and will be highly regarded for their integrated theory and practice and their ethics and professionalism.
