At ACAP, we help you discover the skills you need to really connect with people at work, at home and in the community.

For 25 years ACAP has been a leading education provider in applied psychology. We've created a unique experiential learning method, which allows students to fully engage with the course material.

Learning takes place in small classes with group discussions and activities ensuring a high level of interactivity between students and educators. Our educators and supervisors are the key ingredients in assisting students to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Our specialist courses in counselling, communication, people management and leadership are continually evolving to remain relevant to contemporary workplaces and social issues.

We focus on the needs and aspirations of our students. With strong student support services, we provide individual assistance to students with academic and personal issues.

ACAP has a proud tradition of graduating students with outstanding academic, ethical and professional standards. Our graduates are in demand because they have the necessary interpersonal and professional skills to make a real contribution to their community and workplace.

ACAP is recognised as a Higher Education provider that meets the most stringent government and industry standards. With this foundation we are confident in inviting you to join our learning community and enjoy the results of an inspiring future in applied psychology.

Andrew is the General Manager at the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP). ACAP has been involved in the education and training of counsellors for over 25 years. Previously, Andrew worked for Relationships Australia in Queensland. He has been actively involved in the counselling field since 1985. Most of his experience as a counsellor, supervisor and counsellor educator has been gained in the non-government community services sector. Now residing in Sydney, he is currently immediate Past-President of one of the PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) member associations, SCAPE (Society of Counselling and Psychotherapy Educators). He has an interest in the development of counselling and psychotherapy course accreditation within Australia.  He is chair of the PACFA Course Accreditation Committee.

Studying with ACAP has given me the skills and confidence to get out there and start my own practice, which has been a goal for quite a while! I also intend to develop my groupwork skills so I can run groups for people with depression and anxiety.
