Dr Brian Sullivan (B.A., B.Theol., Dip.Ed., M.Ed.St., Ph.D) was Director of the Master of Counselling at the University of Queensland for over ten years and is an experienced counsellor and academic. He is now Head of Religious Studies at Iona College, Wynnum where he is also a leader in the pastoral care program. Dr Sullivan has a keen interest in family therapy and in supporting and working with both victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. He has a range of academic and research interests including, counsellor education and training, school-based family counselling; person-centred counselling; intimate partner abuse; interventions for male perpetrators; effects of domestic violence on children; and religious education.
