ACAP’s annual School of Counselling Student Placement Expos were held at our Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne campuses in July.

Community health organisations welcome these forums for the chance to talk directly to our students about future placement vacancies, their services, job opportunities and career paths.

Over the course of the half-day event, hundreds of ACAP students in three states took advantage of the convenience of meeting so many experts from the field at one location.

The exhibitors comprised a mix of welfare, human services, corporate health care and employment and counselling-based services of various sizes. At Sydney there were 26 industry representatives; Melbourne campus hosted 19 agencies and there were 15 displays at Brisbane.

Some of the well-known agencies at Sydney included alcohol and other drug recovery service providers Drug Arm (pictured), Odyssey House and Wayback, Mosman Private Hospital, Northside West and Sydney Clinic as well as ADRA Australia and Jewish House.

Melbourne exhibitors included Griefline, Victoria Behavior Change Centre, Chelsea Community Support, St Vincent’s Hospital and Ngwala Willumbong. Brisbane’s exhibitors included Drug Arm, LifeLine, Men's Information and Support Association, St Vincents Private Hospital and Paradise Kids.
