Exit Qualifications

Master of Applied Social Science (MASS)

Students studying the Master of Applied Social Science may exit the course with the Graduate Diploma of Applied Social Science or the Graduate Diploma of Applied Social Science (Management) after the completion of 8 units.

The College recognises that students graduating with the Graduate Diploma may exit at that point because they may be adding to an existing set of skills and qualifications and have no need for the higher level skills of research and critical analysis that occurs in the second year of the Masters program. In such cases, the Graduate Diploma will enhance existing knowledge and skills and will demonstrate to employers that the individual is self-directed, has a capacity for self-development and engaged with career prospects.

Students who graduate with the Graduate Diploma of Applied Social Science may, after one year from their date of graduation, re-apply for admission to the Masters program. Students who choose to do this will need to make an application for re-admission and then submit an application for advanced standing through credit transfer.
