From the following list one elective is to be taken in Year 3 and a further three electives are to be taken in Year 4:

Rules of Progression

1. To progress from Trimester 1 to Trimester 2 students must satisfactorily complete:

  • SWSP1003 Introduction to Human Services, and
  • One unit from:
    • BESC1101 Introduction to Contemporary Society
    • BESC1071 Psychology of Health and Wellness

2. A minimum of four Level 100 units must be successfully completed prior to undertaking Level 200 units.
3. A minimum of four Level 200 units must be successfully completed prior to undertaking Level 300 units.
4. All required Level 100 and Level 200 units must be completed before undertaking a Level 400 unit.
5. Satisfactory completion of the compulsory practice-theory integration seminars and supervision sessions that form part of the Field Education 1 and Field Education 2 placement units is a requirement for satisfactory completion of these units.

Attendance

  • On-campus and blended delivery units have a minimum attendance requirement of 80% for scheduled classes.
  • Online delivery units have a minimum participation requirement of 80% for scheduled synchronous online learning activities.
