Diploma of Youth Work (CHC50413)

The Diploma of Youth Work is a nationally recognised course that is designed to equip you with the skills required to work in youth work roles in the community. Students will study for one year full time (or part time equivalent) and learn about young people in society, their development and the issues confronting many young people including issues of family breakdown, homelessness, mental health and juvenile justice.  This course will include different types of youth work including case work, community development and program development.  Students completing the Diploma of Youth Work are required to complete 210 hours of work placement.
