AccessAbility (Disability) Service
At ACAP we know that the challenge of having health issues can affect study at different times. We also know that there are many faces of disabilities and health related issues. They can be permanent or temporary and include chronic medical conditions, hearing or vision impairment and mental health issues. They can also include a temporary injury or illness, a learning disability, or being a carer for someone with health issues.
Part of our role at AccessAbility is to provide you with the support and services that you need to have an equal opportunity to successfully complete your studies and enjoy your experience at ACAP.
How do we do this?
We start with a conversation to identify your needs and the services and assistance that would be helpful. We work with you to provide practical, individualized supports that will assist you to succeed with your studies.
Examples of the support we can provide are;
- Note takers
- Electronic texts
- Exam supports
- Physical supports on campus
- Flexibility with assignment deadlines
We invite you to make contact with us so that we can talk about your needs and put support into place for you.
We look forward to hearing from you and working with you to achieve your goals.
