Welcome to the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP).

ACAP has been in operation for over 26 years and, specialise in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in the areas of Counselling, Coaching, Human Resource Management and Psychology.

How to apply

Step 1

Complete the Application form in this guide or on our website www.acap.edu.au. Or in our International Student Guide which you can download here or Contact Us to have a copy sent.

Step 2

Attach certified and where necessary translated copies and of all academic qualifications including school and English language test results and anyrelevant employment documents. Please ensure that your current name is added to any documents obtained under a former name and that certified translations accompany documents that are not in English.

Copies can be certified by:

  • A Justice of the Peace,
  • An authorised ACAP representative,
  • An Australian Diplomatic Mission or,
  • An Australian Education Centre.

Step 4

In some instances, for us to assess your application you will need to speak to a staff member either via telephone, face-to-face or via Skype. If we do need to talk to you, one of our staff will contact you to arrange a suitable time

Step 5

If your application is successful, you will receive a Letter of Offer from ACAP, within approximately 5 days, explaining the course you have been offered, any conditions if attached to the offer, how to enrol and the commencement date.

Step 6

In order to accept the offer of a place, you need to pay a commencement fee of A$250 and, if applicable your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). The commencement fee that you pay will be deducted from the tuition fee amount you pay for your first term of study. Payment may be made by credit card (Visa and MasterCard only) or by, direct deposit or telegraphic transfer to ACAP. If you pay by direct deposit or telegraphic transfer, you need to provide ACAP with proof of payment (such as a receipt). To do this send receipt details to admissions@acap.edu.au, with your name in the subject heading.

Please note: Payment of Fees (as shown on your Letter) is required before the start of the term in which you commence your study.

Step 7

On receipt of your commencement fee and, if applicable, your OSHC payment, your place at ACAP will be confirmed in writing and you will receive an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE).

 

Students who withdraw or vary their enrolment at any time before the relevant Census Date may request a refund of fees held in credit by completing the relevant form. Fees will be refunded in line with the ACAP's Refund Policy.

Students who withdraw from their studies after the relevant Census Date will be liable for their tuition fees, unless special circumstances apply. Further details are available in the Student Handbook.

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

When you receive an offer of a place at ACAP you will be invited to purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). OSHC is a compulsory insurance that provides cover for the cost of medical and hospital care which you may incur while in Australia. It is a requirement of DIAC that you maintain OSHC for the entire period of your student visa.

Please note: OSHC does not cover any pre-existing conditions (such as pregnancy or prior illness).
