ACAP to co-host UCEC2015 for the first time in Australia
ACAP will be co-hosting the international University-Community Engagement Conference this year (UCEC2015) with the Universiti Sains Malaysia at the Gold Coast from the 1st to 3rd November.
UCEC is the biennial conference promoted by the Asia-Pacific University-Community Engagement Network (APUCEN), and hosted by its members. APUCEN has around 70 members from 20 different countries throughout South East Asia, Australia and Europe.
University-community engagement is beyond mere outreach, and is a commitment to address community issues and needs through reciprocal relationships between higher education and community service providers. UCEC2015 will be an environment for scholars, policy makers and practitioners to examine and share cutting-edge models and international best practices that advance university-community engagement. This will be the first time that the UCEC is held in Australia.
The theme of UCEC2015 is, “Enhancement and Innovations in University-Community Engagement”, and we are currently accepting abstract submissions until Friday 24th April. Early bird rates and discounts for registrations of three or more in a single transaction are also currently available.
