Use of AI in psychology explored in article by ACAP faculty duo

Two members of the Australian College of Applied School of Psychology faculty have co-authored an article exploring the current and potential impacts of artificial intelligence on the psychology profession.

The Australian Psychological Society journal InPsych published Projecting the future impact of advanced technologies: Will a robot take my job? in its April 2017 issue.

The article, by Professor Mike Innes and Dr Ben Morrison, looks at the automation of psychology skills to date, in the form of ‘health’ apps, and makes predictions about potential of automation in the profession as progress is made in the field of job automation.
