Alumni Professional Development Seminar - Differentiation of Self and Implications for Couples Work
We are pleased to announce that Dr John Meteyard will be presenting Brisbane's first 2014 alumni professional development seminar. Dr Meteyard will address The differentiation of self and its implications for couples work on Thursday 3 April 2014, 6pm-9pm at the Brisbane Campus of the Australian College of Applied Psychology.
Dr John Meteyard is the Senior Lecturer and the Postgraduate Counselling Course Coordinator at Christian Heritage College, as well as a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia Research Committee. Dr Meteyard has over 6000 hours counselling experience working with individuals, couples, groups and families.
For the past 8 years Dr Meteyard has participated in a research project investigating Differentiation of Self (DoS) with Associate Professor Denis O'Hara of ACAP. Dr Meteyard and Associate Professor O'Hara have published a number of peer-reviewed papers on DoS in journals including the Asia and Pacific Journal of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Journal of Australia.
