ACAP Clinic turns five

The ACAP Psychology Clinic celebrated its five-year anniversary last month with an evening gathering of supporters, faculty, graduates and students.

The not-for-profit teaching clinic offers psychological services to the community provided by postgraduate students enrolled in the professional psychology programs.

Clinic manager, Dr Ester Senderey, said the clinic’s client base is increasing steadily as the reputation of the service’s high standards spreads in the professional community. To meet ongoing demand for evening groups, the clinic’s hours of operation have extended to 8.00pm one day a week.

“In five years of operation, almost 2,600 clients have registered with us,” said Ester.

“Next on our agenda is to create in-house and outreach programs for children.”
