ACAP supports industry with new supervisor training course

In a development welcomed among its network of Psychology placement agencies, ACAP has been approved by the Psychology Board of Australia to provide Supervision Masterclasses.

“To maintain their Board-approved status, supervisors of clinical psychology students must complete refresher training every five years,” said Kathryn Nicholson Perry, Associate Professor at ACAP School of Psychological Sciences.

"For most current supervisors, approval to oversee students will lapse on 30 June 2018, and it is expected that there will be high demand for masterclasses until then."

The new Masterclasses will be provided free of charge to supervisors providing placements for ACAP’s Master of Psychology (Clinical) students. The course requires one thousand hours of supervised placement during the final two years of study.
