You’ve already passed an undergraduate degree, but have a driving passion to understand human behaviour at a deeper level. Our Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science gives you deep insight into why we think and act the way we do.
You will build a strong foundation in critical and analytical thinking and develop your skills to successfully design, construct and evaluate research, allowing you to uncover the nuances of human behaviour.
This course is accredited without conditions by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) in Sydney and Melbourne, and is conditionally accredited in Brisbane.

This course is comprised of a number of core units. Core units are compulsory subjects required to complete your degree.
There are no elective units available for this degree.
Admission Criteria
Meet the following criteria:
- Completion of a Bachelor Degree or higher in any discipline, and
- Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited first year Psychology sequence within the last ten years. These units are available for completion at ACAP, please contact us for info on this.
International student IELTS requirement: Academic IELTS minimum overall band of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0 completed in the last two years (or equivalent).
Overseas qualifications must be deemed by ACAP as equivalent to Australian qualifications.
The accrediting body may have additional requirements, including minimum English language, to meet professional accreditation standards. For more information on meeting those requirements visit psychologycouncil.org.au
Please note: International students who do not meet entry requirements for the Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science may be offered a Graduate Certificate of Psychological Science as a pathway into the Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science.
Additionally the Graduate Certificate of Psychological Science is only offered as a pathway program into the Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science and is only available on-campus in Melbourne in Sydney.
