Synchronous Online Delivery

What is Synchronous Online Delivery?

Synchronous Online (SO) is a mode of study which encompasses online real time learning. Students receive access to comprehensive learning materials and a Lecturer or Academic Teacher for each unit of study.

Synchronous Online delivery involves meeting synchronously online (i.e. in real time online), at a pre-specified time, for three hours at a time, each week, for the length of the term.

Each Synchronous Online unit has a dedicated online class space which contains materials for independent learning and spaces for class interaction. Students attend weekly synchronous online sessions to integrate theory and to practise their skills. These sessions are run using ZOOM.

The schedule for online synchronous sessions for units taken by the Synchronous Online option can be found on the School of Counselling Class Timetables page.
