Bachelor of Counselling (BCouns)
Two of ACAP’s Undergraduate Counselling courses are currently progressing through the compulsory reaccreditation process with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). Both the Bachelor of Counselling and the Bachelor of Psychological Science and Counselling course are undergoing the reaccreditation process and ACAP should be informed of the outcome by early March.
The Graduate Diploma of Counselling and the Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy are currently accredited with PACFA.
The Bachelor of Counselling has recently been approved for full accreditation with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
The accreditation and reaccreditation processes with relevant professional bodies is standard for Higher Education providers. For graduates of these accredited courses, accreditation provides certainty that their course meets the training standards of the professional body.
