Welcome to the Honours course in Psychological Science at the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP). The guide provides you with information about the course, its goals, and the practicalities of dealing with the everyday problems that will arise during the year. It is designed to provide you with all the basic information you will need, including essential information about course and submission deadlines. You should be prepared to approach lecturing and general staff members when you need to clarify any matter you are unsure about, and ensure that you keep up-to-date with all requirements including issues of attendance at classes, assessments and required readings. You should also, as a matter of course, access the website and your email on a regular basis (at least once a week) to check on any news items that have been posted.

The lecturers of individual units will provide you with information pertaining to those units and you should draw on these people as a major resource. The supervisor of your research project will be a major player in helping you navigate the issues and problems that will arise throughout the academic year. You should feel able to approach your supervisor on matters connected with the conduct and preparation of your thesis. You may also feel over time that you may use your supervisor to provide you with advice and information about possible future pathways that you may consider in psychology and outside of the College.
