CHC0106P Workplace Communication

VET Diploma Level Subject

In this subject we will be looking at different aspects of communication in the workplace by focusing on the information needs of clients, co-workers, government, and other industry professionals. Some of the skills that will be developed in this unit include how to develop a communications plan, how to prepare communication documents, how to develop promotional communication material and how to expand upon presentation skills. The unit also looks at the benefits of networking and how this skill can aid in providing better service to clients.

Subject Duration and Workload

This subject involves a total of 108 hours per term of study including course work component, teacher contact, research and related study activities, translating to approximately 9 hours of study per week. Students will need to allocate additional time for the completion of assessment activities related to the subject.
