ACAP students have numerous opportunities throughout and beyond their study to provide suggestions on and have a input into their course and college experience. One means for students to provide feedback is through the College surveys.
Each year the College conducts a number of student surveys at the subject/unit, course and College level to gain insights into students' learning, teaching and overall College experiences. Feedback from surveys is used by the College to inform strategic planning and quality assurance activities and to improve the learning, teaching and College experience for students. Information for students on key improvement activities in response to their feedback is provided via news items and announcements in the Student Resources section of my.acap.
The information below introduces the main surveys used by ACAP to obtain feedback from students and new graduates.
Week 11 Feedback Survey (VET modules / Higher Education Units)
Each term, students are asked to evaluate their learning and teaching experience for the VET modules or Higher Education units in which they are enrolled. The survey is completed online, through the online class space in my.acap.
Student Satisfaction Survey
This survey, which is conducted annually, is designed to gather feedback from all VET and Higher Education students about their experiences, their level of satisfaction with ACAP services, and their perceptions of the College overall.

Australian Graduate Survey
In April and October each year ACAP higher education students who have recently completed their course are provided the opportunity to participate in the Australian Graduate Survey of Graduate Careers Australia. This survey investigates the career destinations, employment approaches, course experience reflections, and further study activities of recent graduates. Feedback from this survey provides both future students and ACAP graduates with details about the type of work, further study and other activities that can flow from an ACAP degree. It also provides potential employers with information that can assist them in their development of recruitment policies. Key insights from this survey are also used by ACAP to inform strategic planning and quality assurance processes.
Learner Engagement Survey (Vocational Education and Training)
Each year, ACAP collects feedback from ACAP VET students who have recently completed their course on their views about their learning and teaching, and overall course and College experience. A summary report of this feedback is also provided to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), which is the College's RTO Registering Body, as is required of all registered training organisations.
Student Advisory Committees
Operating from each Campus, Student Advisory Committees meet once per term and are representative of students who study across all modes of delivery. Student Advisory Committees are accountable to the Learning and Teaching Committee. Formal nominations for representatives on the Student Advisory Committees are called annually.
