General Orientation sessions

We can't recommend our General Orientation sessions highly enough, where you'll receive essential information for a smooth start at ACAP, including:

  • Key contacts and where to get help when you need it.
  • Simple guides on accessing the student portal and class spaces.
  • Where and when to get help from our Counselling, Student Learning Support, and AccessAbility services.
  • The Academic Calendar which has key dates to help stay on track.
  • Tips to set yourself up for successful study, including setting up your study workspace and managing your time effectively.

Discipline Orientation sessions

A Discipline session will provide you with more course-specific information. Register using the button below, and you'll be sent an email confirmation with all the details you need to get equipped.

For our Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) Students, keep an eye out for an email invitation to your course-specific Orientation session. You're also welcome to participate in the General session, (highly recommended).

At your Discipline-specific session, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Meet Academic staff from your discipline.
  • Learn about how your course will run, study expectations, preparing for exams and who to ask for help.

There'll also be time for Q&A at the end of each session.

International Students

For our International Students, you have a dedicated Orientation that you must attend. Please see the Orientation table above for the exact time and date.

We highly recommend you attend the General and Discipline-specific Orientation sessions, to get the best out of your study journey.

A Warm Welcome from the Dean
