Psychology, Counselling, and Human Services offer a hugely diverse, challenging, and rewarding "spectrum" of career options for graduates.  These degrees also collectively attract many thousands of students each year creating a competitive job market.

It’s therefore both a responsibility and challenge for every professional to consider where they will best fit and bring their best self to work every day.  In this way you build a career portfolio and professional "brand" you can be proud of.   It's amazing how much easier this to achieve when you're engaged in work that actually suits you.

This interactive seminar will ask you to:

Jacqui will also look at building professional networks and articulating your brand and motivations to others. Jacqui invites you to "bring your (self) explorer hat and have some fun."

By attending this event you will receive a certificate crediting you with 2.5 PD hours.

This professional development is suitable for graduates and students of all levels.

We look forward to receiving your registration and seeing you at the session.

If today, you were asked you to briefly describe who you are and what you do as a professional, could you answer in a way that would inspire a prospective client to start working with you? If your answer is “No” or “I’m not sure”, then it’s highly likely that people will not feel confident about your capacity to help them.

Carmen brings her experience as a psychotherapist, supervisor, educator, mentor and business owner to help identify the attributes and strengths that make you valuable to your clients and to clarify how to bring these together in the creation of a distinct, marketable and functional professional self.

Bring your enthusiasm and an open mind so you can take away a clearer idea of the kind of professional you want to be, what you need to do to really step into becoming your working skin, and the self-concepts that might be obstructing your progress. Finally, you will begin to identify the factors that will support your commitment to a continuously developing professional future that honours and validates the intention you brought into the classroom on that very first day.

This session is open and applicable to graduates and students at any level.

By attending this event you will receive a certificate crediting you with 2.5 PD hours.

We look forward to receiving your registration and seeing you at the session.

Things to remember -

Cathedral Parking

The Australian College of Applied Psychology would like to remind students that it is not appropriate to park in the St John's Cathedral Carpark across the road from campus. Cathedral staff actively implement their tow-away policy and no further warning will be given.

If you wish to drive in to campus you can find parking details for the Cathedral Square Carpark here. Central train station is also just a short walk away from campus and there are a number of bus routes that go past our college.

Thank you,

The Student Experience Team
