Join ACAP’s Associate Professor Fiona Ann Papps to explore this thought-provoking session on the barriers and enablers to inclusive palliative care for gender and sexuality diverse people in Australia.

Terminally ill people should be provided quality palliative care (PC) to enhance their quality of life. Gender and sexuality diverse people are often exposed to increased stressors throughout their life which may make health service engagement particularly difficult. In this two-phase research conducted in conjunction with LGBTIQ+ Health Australia, what gender and sexuality diverse people in Australia perceived as barriers and enablers to inclusive palliative care engagement were investigated.
