Dr Elly Quinlan
Elly Quinlan is a senior lecturer and course coordinator for the Master of Professional Psychology (MPP) and the Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology Practice (GDPPP). Elly is passionate about diversity in postgraduate psychology and industry based pathways to registration, having previously worked for four years within the University of Wollongong’s MPP program. She strives to support the development of emerging psychologists by building collaborative and authentic supervisory relationships.
Elly is also a practicing psychologist with expertise in the assessment and intervention of children, adolescence, families, and mental health carers. Elly has extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, in addition to systemic practice, attachment theory and trauma informed practice. Her PhD examined interpersonal problems and experiential avoidance in mental health carers, and received special commendation for outstanding thesis.
