Overview

John has been involved with people professionally since 1998 driven by a core value of helping people experience personal growth and wholeness. John values the possibilities in effective team work and that people respond well to an inclusive, equipping, strengths based approach that values each individual in a just and equitable manner.

He started at ACAP as a sessional Lecturer in 2015, teaching in the Bachelor of Counselling and the Diploma of Counselling Skills. He is the First Year Level Co-ordinator for the Discipline of Counselling.

John currently maintains his private practice as well. His clinical work experience includes:

- Working as a counsellor in private practice.
- Three years as a counsellor at a community counselling service
- Supervision for Christian ministry workers.

Other experience:

Strategic leadership, teaching and pastoral care in Christian ministry situations.
