Biography

Priya joined the ACAP Melbourne campus at the end of 2019 as a part-time lecturer in the Discipline of Counselling. She is now a full-time educator, fulfilling roles as national lecturer, tutor, unit coordinator and content creator among many others at ACAP.

Outside of ACAP, Priya is the director of her private practice (AusWellbeing.com) where she is the lead practitioner. Priya has worked in a variety of settings, including other private practices, TAFEs, refugee centres, and primary schools. She has also worked in Bangkok (Thailand), Brisbane, and Melbourne.

Priya has completed her undergraduate degrees from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and the University of Queensland. She then completed her Masters in Counselling from Monash University. Priya is passionate about mental health subject and has plans to continue on to her PhD.

Alongside her work in counselling, Priya is professionally trained in Hatha and Yin yoga. She has deep interests in eastern psychology and the relationship between the mind and body.
