Associate Professor Hsien-Jin Teoh is the Discipline Lead for Psychology at the Australian College of Applied Professions, Brisbane. He completed his Bachelors of Psychology, Sociology and Social Anthropology at Keele University, Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of New South Wales, and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the at the University of Western Australia. Amongst the universities he has held academic roles in are the National University of Malaysia, Australian Catholic University and Sunway University. He has also held various clinical and leadership positions within Metro North Hospital and Health Service (Queensland Health), Ministry of Health Malaysia and various uniformed services.

Research

Previous research and project work has also involved uniformed services and corporate fields. He has carried out projects in the area children’s adjustment within the family and at school, social support, coping, stress, chronic health conditions, environmental hazards, human-pet interactions, mental health stigma, and the organization of multi-disciplinary health teams.
