Overview

Kate has worked in educational settings for numerous years with children and adolescents. Areas of interest in which she has practised counselling include grief and loss, suicidality, self-harm, anxiety, school refusal, behaviour management, eating disorders, mood disorders, domestic violence, substance misuse and family and interpersonal relationships and trauma. Kate has presented to schools and communities on parenting adolescents, anxiety, school engagement, cyber safety and wellbeing. In addition, Kate has presented to teachers on managing challenging behaviours in the classroom and understanding mental health in students and self-care for teachers.
