ACAP proudly offers a range of scholarships to eligible new and current students.

There are five categories of ACAP General Scholarships, including three scholarship types for new students and two for current students, applicable to a range of courses. Additionally, eligible students studying ACAP's Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice can apply for the fully funded GDLP First Nations Scholarship.

ACAP has also been awarded the Australian Government Destination Australia Scholarship (DAS) for students undertaking a Counselling course on the Byron Bay campus in 2024.

ACAP GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS - NEW STUDENTS

INCLUSIVE FUTURES SCHOLARSHIP

The purpose of this scholarship is to address equity in higher education. New students are invited to apply for this scholarship should they feel an economic disadvantage or need. This scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees for one unit of study in the subsequent trimester.

Criteria
Students must not have already studied at ACAP. In order to receive the scholarship students must enrol to study full-time (unless registered with AccessAbility).

Eligible courses
All ACAP courses that are more than 1 year in duration full-time, excluding the Master of Business Administration.

FIRST NATIONS ACCESS SCHOLARSHIP

Students who identify as First Nations are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. This scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees for one unit of study in the subsequent trimester.

Criteria
Students must not have already studied at ACAP. They must also identify as First Nations. In order to receive the scholarship students must enrol to study full-time (unless registered with AccessAbility).

Eligible courses
All ACAP courses that are more than 1 year in duration full-time, excluding the Master of Business Administration.

LIFELONG LEARNER SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship supports a wide range of students who are committed to continued education. This scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees for one unit of study in the subsequent trimester.

Criteria
Students must not have already studied at ACAP. In order to receive the scholarship students must enrol to study full-time (unless registered with AccessAbility).

Eligible courses
All ACAP courses that are more than 1 year in duration full-time, excluding the Master of Business Administration.

ACAP GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS - CURRENT STUDENTS

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP (UNDERGRADUATE)

This scholarship will cover the total course fees for one unit of study in the subsequent trimester for an eligible undergraduate course.

Criteria
Students must be studying full-time (unless registered with AccessAbility) and be the top performing student, based on formal grades, in an eligible course.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP (POSTGRADUATE)

Continuing students of eligible courses may be awarded this scholarship which covers 10% fee relief for all units remaining in the enrolled course. Candidates are nominated by the relevant Course Coordinator and no application is required.

Criteria
Students who completed their most recent course and have successfully enrolled in the ACAP postgraduate studies of eligible courses can apply for this scholarship.

Application Process and Important Information

Applications for ACAP General Scholarships for study in 2024 are no longer accepted. Applications for 2025 ACAP General Scholarships are not yet open.

Scholarships are offered in Trimester 1 of each year, and apply to any mode of study (online, on campus or via blended delivery). Each student can be awarded a scholarship a maximum of three times over the duration of their ACAP course. View the application steps below.

Fully Funded Scholarship

GDLP First Nations Scholarship

The Australian College of Applied Professions (ACAP) and the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) are committed to creating opportunities for First Nations Victorian law graduates through industry-led learning and genuine connections to the profession.

 

In 2024, ACAP and the LIV are expanding these opportunities by offering a GDLP scholarship valued at 100% of course fees to an eligible First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) student per intake.

 

Criteria
Domestic students must identify as First Nations and provide written confirmation of identity and heritage.

 

Eligible course
Available to domestic students studying the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in any intake.

Destination Australia Scholarships

This scholarship, valued at $15,000 per year, provides for students from underrepresented groups including, but not limited to low socio-economic status, first in family to tertiary study, those living with a disability, First Nations people and those who can demonstrate financial hardship or other barriers to studying at ACAP Byron Bay.

 

Criteria
Applicants must be a commencing domestic student enrolled full-time on-campus at ACAP Byron Bay and reside in the Northern Rivers region for the duration of their study, commencing from 2024.

 

Eligible courses
Diploma of Counselling Skills or Bachelor of Counselling.
