What makes us do the things we do? What effect does society have on our actions? Why do we behave a certain way by ourselves, but differently in groups? What leads us to do good or bad?
You’ll study human behaviour - and how to apply your learnings to make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
At ACAP you’ll embark on a fascinating journey to a deep understanding of human behaviour - but you won’t be travelling alone.
Along the way you’ll have ACAP’s community of educators, course advisers and students with you for encouragement and support. We come from many backgrounds and experiences, but we all share the belief that psychology is the key to a better world.
What makes us different is that we teach you to care for yourself before helping others. Whether you’re drawn to counselling, coaching, social work, criminology or clinical psychology, diploma or masters, you’ll grow personally as much as professionally. This is evidenced in student satisfaction surveys, where ACAP consistently outranks other colleges for the all-round quality of experience.
The journey to understanding human behaviour never truly ends, but when your studies with ACAP are completed you’ll have a widely recognised qualification. ACAP’s psychology degrees are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and our higher education counselling degrees are accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) - both of which are peak bodies for their respective professions.
ACAP has been specialising in human behaviour since 1983 providing a unique environment where everybody is devoted to understanding people. Our academics are experienced teachers and industry practitioners, committed to practical learning.
